Heald Wheeled’s real zeal yields a deal for charities

The Firm’s intrepid cycling team, Heald Wheeled, has successfully completed the 500 mile Extra Mile Lake Geneva Challenge.  Senior Partner Martin Banham-Hall and Senior Associate Abbie Howson were joined by friends Duncan O’Neill of Claymore Asset Management and Jayne Smith.  Jayne, a psychologist, was overheard muttering ‘We are all mad’ before the off – and she should know – but acknowledged at the end that it had been one of the hardest, but best, things she had ever done.  The team tackled the Jura, the Black Forest (managing to eat most of it) and the Vosges mountain range before finishing at Montreux on the eastern shore of Lake Geneva.

The team raised over £2,600 for charity and is pictured here handing cheques to Helen Galvin of MK Young Carers and Yaz Zaman, team lead at Child Bereavement UK’s MK centre.  Heald Solicitors is a co-organiser of the annual Extra Mile Challenges, along with the Rotary Clubs of Milton Keynes Grand Union and of Bedford Park.  To date, the Challenges have cumulatively distributed over £1.3 Million to charity.
