Extramile Challenge

The economic cycle may have been on the downturn, but Heald's plucky pedallers are celebrating once again. The funds raised by last years Extra Mile Loire Challenge 2010 have been collected and over £110,000 has been distributed to charity - a brilliant result from all who took part. It brings the total raised by our nine events to date to a superb £880,000.

Heald Solicitors are proud to sponsor and co-organise the Extra Mile Challenges. They have become established among Milton Keynes' foremost annual fundraisers for good causes, and as a leading mass-participation event suitable for everyone to take part.

This years challenge was completed over the weekend of the 23rd September and was completed by a full entry of 45 teams (180 riders) drawn from local businesses and organisations. Click to read to read a diary of the weekend

Joining Martin in the Heald Solicitors teams will be members David Dees and Nick Crook. They too are veterans of every previous Challenge. Also solicitor Esther Marchant whose shocking-pink leggings turned heads throughout last year's ride.

Heald join the Milton Keynes Swimathon for Charity

Our intrepid team of staff and family have taken up the challenge to raise money for local charities by seeing how many lengths of the Stantonbury Swiming Pool they can swim in a 55 minute period. The Heald Haddocks team were pleased to smash their previous record of 130 lengths by a fair margin to reach 149. The team of 6 were happy and exhausted after the 55 minutes of swimming and raised over £200 for the good causes. With the great success of this year the team has already booked two lanes for next years event hopping to bring along something special and beat this years record for the number of lengths in the time allowed.

Biztech Technology Forum

BIZTECH Technology Forum is a peer to peer group of ICT leaders and professionals from the worlds of business, education and public sectors in Milton Keynes

Biztech's mission is to provide a platform and voice for the promotion of technology provision within Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire.

Biztech organises meetings, lectures and events of interest to foster greater engagement within the community and support the growth of service provision within North Buckinghamshire."

Chamber of Commerce and SIG

Heald Solicitors was a founder member of the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce. Like the Chamber, Heald Solicitors have been in Milton Keynes for 30 years. During those 30 years Heald have parcipitated in and contributed to many Chamber events.

At the moment David Dees is Chair of the Legal and Financal Special Interest Group of the Chamber. The Legal and Financial SIG promotes events of interest to the legal and financial community in Milton Keynes and to the wider membership of the Chamber in general. Destination Milton Keynes

Heald Solicitors have been involved with Destination Milton Keynes (DMK) since its inception. Like DMK, we are committed to the business success of MIlton Keynes ands its surrounding area.

Currently David Dees is the Company Secretary of DMK.

DMK represents businesses and public sector bodies involved in leisure and business visits to Milton Keynes and its surrounding area. Accomodation providers and visitors attractions provide the core of DMK's membership.

DMK contributed significatly to Milton Keynes being named as a Destination Town as part of the FA's 2018 World Cup Bid. DMK was also a contributor to the creation of Milton Keynes' new identity is shown below.
