Is Google a bully?

It was interesting to see the reports over the last couple of days about Google’s Eric Schmidt explaining that Google is interested in reaching a settlement with the European Commission.

Following its investigations into Microsoft (resulting in Microsoft receiving a fine of approximately £1.5 billion), the European Commission is investigating possible anti-competitive practices by Google having abused its dominant position in the online search and advertising markets – this is very topical for us at Heald at the moment because we are assisting a client with the preparation and submission of evidence to the European Commission for the Google investigation.
