Race For Life

This year the ladies of Heald Solicitors decided to unite against cancer and participant in the numerous events that were being held around the country.

In May Angela Poole, along with thousands of men and women, hit the streets of London to walk 13 miles in the 2008 London Half Moon Walk. Any spectators of the event would notice that these were not your average walkers; dressed in decorated bras they walked through the night in cold conditions to raise a staggering amount of money for breast cancer.

In June Heald saw the charity fundraising spirit continue as Tina Middleton and Nicola Lewis took part in the Race for Life; the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event. Held in Campbell Park in Milton Keynes they jogged the 5 km in under an hour; no easy feat when you consider the size of the hill at the end. The two events raised over £500 for the charities with the money going towards finding new ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
