Initial Fixed Fee Meeting
Heald Solicitors offer an initial fixed fee meeting of up to 1 hour. Our friendly, efficient family law solicitors are experienced in assisting many people who could well have faced the same experiences as you. We are here to help you.
We understand that discussing any matters relating to your family or matrimonial matters can be very emotional and often a distressing experience. By making the decision to contact us, you are possibly taking the first big step towards reshaping a better future for you and your loved ones. Our experienced family law team are able to deal with all aspects of family law, including children matters, divorce and dissolution, financial settlements, post and pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation matters and domestic violence in this initial consultation.
What can you expect
When you arrive at our offices, you can park for free outside the front door and will be taken to a private meeting room for your consultation.
During the meeting, you will have the chance to explain your situation, ask questions and will gain a clear understanding of the steps going forward and timescales.
You will leave the meeting with:
- Bullet points of action to consider
- What issues you will need to consider
- An understanding of what the steps are going forward
- Where possible, time frames and cost estimates of the legal process
How much does it cost?
The fixed fee meeting for up to 1 hour costs £180 plus VAT. Any additional time spent after the initial hour will be charged at the Solicitors’ hourly rates which vary from £220.00 to £250.00 plus VAT. Payment is usually taken during the consultation period.
*We will also need to verify your identifcation by undertaking a complusory Smart Search which will be charged as a £5.00
What happens after your consultation?
You may need to take some time to consider your options. After all, what could be evolving is likely to be a life changing matter, and this may also involve your home and your children. We really hope that our friendly team will be able to provide you with the confidence to make a decision about your life, and that the compassion that they demonstrate will result in you choosing to formally instruct us, if you choose to pursue legal action. If you do choose to instruct us in your matter, we will guide you through each step of the process.

Where are we based?
All meetings take place at our office in Milton Keynes, Artemis House, 4 Bramley Road, Mount Farm, MK1 1PT. The office is strategically situated in a quiet location away from the city centre to ensure privacy. There is plenty of free private parking surrounding our building. The office is located a stones throw from the MK Dons stadium.
