We offer a full notarial service for your convenience
Heald Solicitors have been operating as a trusted Notary Public in Milton Keynes since 1980 for both private and commercial clients. You may require either notary or legalisation services if you are planning on buying or selling a property abroad, travelling abroad for work or if you want to open a foreign bank account. The need for a notary public is dictated by the requirements of the country the document in question is to be used and can therefore be a confusing matter. Often an apostille is required to verify the signature and seal of the notary.
Mistakes can be costly in both time and money
To help make sure you are not delayed we are able to fulfil all of your notarial requirements including completing contracts and powers of attorney for use abroad, verifying the existence and powers of a company, obtaining apostilles from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the legalisation of documents at foreign Embassies. Our offices are close to the Foreign and Commonwealth office in Milton Keynes and Heald is a registered business user of the FCO. Heald are able to supply a complete legalisation service and return completed documents by post or courier.

A few words from our clients
I came to Heald because this is where Peter Harrison now practices. In the past, he has dealt with a number of other matters for me – always providing calm, clear-sighted advice. A pleasure to do business with
It’s hard to think how the staff at Heald’s could have done more to help, support and re-assure during a very stressful period. There is no way that our company would have been able to undertake the actions that Heald did, and we are very grateful for their help and guidance during that time. Although the result was almost more than we expected, and is of course very important, it’s also sometimes about how you get there and the working partnerships formed to get through that journey. Our relationship with Heald was excellent at all times and we would have no hesitation in recommending their services to any company or individual in a similar position to the one we found ourselves in all those years ago.
Hopefully we will not need their services again in the future, but if something similar were to occur, they are the first company that we would talk to, and seeing as we last worked together over 4 years ago that may give you an idea of the regard that we have for their services.

We contacted Heald Solicitors in 2014 to seek assistance in recouping funds for a miss-sold Hedge fund swap several years earlier.
We were able to meet with Heald at their offices in Milton Keynes and immediately struck up a relationship that was both professional, friendly and efficient in its focus. Communications following that initial meeting were prompt and very clear in what we needed to do to help the appeals process. Following months of work, and a few recommended changes in focus and attack along the way, we were able to reclaim all funds from the miss-sold swap and were also later able to make a small adjusting claim for tax implications.

Ian and I really appreciate all the time and work you have put in to help us with our various agreements. It has been a pleasure working with you and we wish you all the best in the future.
Corrine & Iain Staniforth
I am a solicitor and notary public at Marshall Hatchick Solicitors in Suffolk. I have used your firm for several years to arrange legalisation of notarial documents with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and during this time I have predominately dealt with Karen Sleep.
I wanted to let you know how impressed I have been and continue to be with Karen’s efficiency in dealing with my matters and with her pleasant manner and good communication. She is a real credit to your firm and I look forward to working with her for many years to come.
I hope you don’t mind me contacting you, but I know how clients tend to be more forthcoming with criticism than praise and I wanted to recognise the excellent job that Karen does.
