Is Abbie the right person to speak to?
Abbie works with individuals, families, business owners and their advisers and can advise on all sorts of issues – pretty much anything personal that isn’t matrimonial or buying property! Anything from needing to make a new will, to concerns over what happens to the family business if a director loses capacity or a child gets divorced.
Abbie works closely with her clients finding a pragmatic and clear solution based on their wishes. She is able to understand the background ‘stuff’ for many of her clients.
Abbie is well known for her empathy which she attributes to having done other things in her life before becoming a solicitor.

Experience & Education
Abbie didn’t go to University as a first choice; she worked in retail and ran her own business before returning to study. Her life experiences allow her to understand the concerns all her clients face when taking decisions about their planning. Having grown up in a small business owning family, she is able to understand the challenges faced by businesses.
First Class Honours in Law from Oxford Brookes University; STEP Diploma; Level 3 Diploma in Business Change Management. She is also a Notary Public, providing services through the firm to anyone needing a document validated for use abroad.
Abbie speaks conversational French and has just decided to learn Portuguese.
It’s not all about work
Cycling and running – Abbie has competed in cycle racing and duathlons and is now working with her coach on swimming so a Triathlon is on the cards….although she is not looking forward to swimming in open water. She was supposed to compete in her first triathlon on April 5th, but this has been postponed because of Covid 19.
Abbie has been part of the Heald cycling team in the Extra Mile Challenge since joining the firm in 2016. The challenge involves a team of four cyclists riding 500 miles in three days, as a relay, to raise funds for charity and the firm has been involved in the charity since it started.
She holds a GB age group masters jersey for cycling and is a past committee member and chairman of her local cycling club.
Abbie also loves her greyhounds, Charlie and Bella, both ex- racing dogs, who enjoy going with her on her training runs, provided they can have a lie down afterwards!
Abbie has a love for fabric crafts and has also been researching her family history for the last 20 years…
